Eda Marie Dunn

Eda Maria Dunn, 98, passed away quietly at the Waupun Memorial Hospital in Waupun, WI, on October 22, 2011.

She was born August 24,1913, in Mackford Prairie Township, Green Lake County, Wisconsin, to parents Gustav and Amelia (Feldt) Winterhack. She was raised and received her education in the Waupun area.

Eda married Ward Dunn on April 29,1933, in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin. They lived, worked and raised their family around Waupun except for five years in which they lived in Belgrade, Montana, to be with their oldest son Dave and his family. During that time they were members of Hope Lutheran Church in Bozeman, Montana.

In Waupun, Eda worked as a nursing assistant at the Waupun Memorial Hospital. She was an active member of the Immanuel Lutheran Churchand was involved with the Senior Center helping to prepare the noon meals.

Eda is survived by her sons David (Mary Elizabeth) of Gallatin Gateway, Montana and Richard Dunn of Phoenix, Arizona, daughter-in-law Mary Ann Dunn of Eau Clair, Wisconsin, 8 grandchildren; David Dunn, James Dunn, Tamela Dunn, Torey Dunn, Tara (Dunn) Schouten, Tyler Dunn, Todd Dunn and Tony Dunn; 13 great grandchildren, a sister Florence Baierl, two sister-in-laws, Margaret Ann Collver and Henrietta Winterhack and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was proceeded in death by her husband, Ward in 1986; parents; two sons, Thomas,1992; Edward in infancy, 1937; four brothers, Arthur, George, Harold and Alfred; two sisters, Lillian Jahnke and Esther Hanisch.

Cremation has taken place and graveside services will be held at a later date. Eda shared her life with family and friends and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Should friends or family desire, memorials may be made to the Immanuel Lutheran Church, 525 West Main Street, Waupun, Wisconsin, 53963.
