Marcella Marion Neitzel

Marcella Marion Neitzel, age 89 of Waupun, entered Eternal Life on Thursday, July 2, 2011 at the Christian Homestead in Waupun.

Marcella was born on June 10, 1922 in Waupun, the daughter of William and Ida (Wild) Neitzel. She enjoyed the simple things of life; gardening and fishing with her parents. Marcella was a faithful Cubs fan and enjoyed listening to games on the radio. She was talented with embroidery and crafted many beautiful items as gifts for family and friends. Her church and faith were important to Marcella, who was a member of Pella Lutheran Church.

Marcella is survived by her sister, Florence and her husband Gary Pluim; a sister-in-law, Marge Neitzel, all of Waupun, a brother-in-law, Cleo Kahlhamer, Mayville, and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers; Clarence and Herbert (Martha) Neitzel, and three sisters, Eva Neitzel, Edna (Harold) Strehmel, and Jeanette Kahlhamer.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, July 7, 2011 at Pella Lutheran Church, 315 S. Madison Street, Waupun, with Rev. Michael Stock officiating. Burial will follow in Burnett Corners Cemetery.

Marcella’s family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday at the church from 10 a.m. until the hour of service.

A memorial fund has been established for the Christian Homestead, 1001 West Brown Street, Waupun WI 53963.
