Mildred Eisele, age 82 and formerly of Waupun, passed away on Sunday, January 16, 2010 at Rolling Meadows Nursing and Rehabilitation in Fond du Lac.
Mildred was born on February 2, 1928 in the Town of Marquette, Green Lake County, WI, a daughter of Albert and Olga (Schroeder) Zabel. She lived in the Brandon and Waupun area for most of her life. On September 6, 1947, Mildred married Earl F. Eisele at the Brandon United Methodist Church. She was employed seasonally as a machine operator for the Green Giant Canning Factory in Rosendale. Mildred concentrated on caring for her home and family, and enjoyed sewing and knitting. The Eisele family cared for the lawn at the Wedges Prairie Cemetery for many years.
Mildred is survived by three children; Melvin Eisele of Kansas, Donna Eisele and Donald Eisele, both of Waupun; one brother Alvin and his wife Darlene Zable of Brandon; three grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; four step great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband Earl in 1988; a son David Eisele; a brother Ralph Zabel and an infant sister.
Funeral services will be held at 4:30 p.m. on Friday, January 21, 2011 at Kohls Community Funeral Home, 405 W. Main Street, Waupun. A private family burial will be in Wedges Prairie Cemetery.
Mildred’s family will receive relatives and friends on Friday from 3:00 p.m. until the hour of services.
A memorial fund has been established in Mildred’s name.
