Verna Ida Zimdars

Verna Ida Zimdars, age 87 of Randolph, went to her Lord and Savior on Monday, August 8, 2011 at the Golden Living Center, Continental Manor.

Verna was born in South Milwaukee on May 25, 1924, a daughter to Fred and Ida (Schleuter) Proeber. On November 16, 1945 she was united in marriage to Ralph Zimdars at Zion Lutheran Church. Verna was a member of Frieden’s Ev. Lutheran Church of Randolph where she was active in the Ladies Aid. Her hobbies included sewing, gardening, needlework and reading.

Verna is survived by her daughter, Gail and her husband Gary Burzinski, Madison; three grandchildren; two step-grandsons; one great-grandchild, a daughter-in-law, Cheryl Zimdars; a son-in-law, Dennis Wallace; a brother, Glen (Carol) Proeber; a sister-in-law, Alice Sims; many nieces, nephews, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband; a son, Charles Zimdars; and a daughter, Jill Wallace.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m.on Thursday, August 11, 2011 at Frieden’s Evangelical LutheranChurch, 355 Jones Drive, Randolph with Rev. Robert Wilke officiating. Burial will be in ArlingtonParkCemeteryin Greenfield, WI.

Verna’s family will receive relatives and friends at the church on Thursday from 9:30 a.m.until the time of service.
