Joann June Syvertson

Joann June Syvertson, age 72 of Randolph, was called to her heavenly home on June 27, 2011 at Golden Years Living Continental Manor, surrounded by family.

Joann was born on June 8, 1939 in Milwaukee, the daughter of Selma (Gatzow) Reilly. She was united in marriage to Richard Syvertson on March 11, 1961 in Milwaukee and they celebrated fifty years together with family in March. Joann was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, who was dedicated to her family. Her and her husband spent many enjoyable hours fishing and playing Yatzee with family. Going rummaging and attending bus trips to the casino with friends were special times. Joann treasured every moment spent with her grandchildren; attending their activities and sporting events. She was a member of Friedens Evangelical Lutheran Church.

Joann is survived by her husband, Richard, her son, David (Greta) Syvertson, Randolph, her daughter, Lisa Skindzelewski (Wayne Engen) Sarona, five grandchildren; Jonathan, Benjamin, and Austin Syvertson, Sabrina and Cassandra Skindzelewski, her sister, Sharon (John) Gilgenbach, Berlin, a niece, Pat (Frank) Bock and aunt, Doris Bodina, both of Milwaukee and her special friend, Margie Wyman, Shawano.

She was preceded in death by her mother.

Private family services will be held. Joann will be inurned in the Lake Emily Cemetery.

A memorial fund has been established in Joann’s name.
