Hazel Marcella Redman, age 90 of Waupun, died on July 22, 2010 at Waupun Memorial Hospital.
Hazel was born on January 11, 1920 in Waupun, a daughter of Herman and Alma (Jahnke) Lenz. She graduated from Waupun High School in 1938. On October 5, 1940, Hazel was united in marriage to Charles F. Redman, Jr. in Waupun. Hazel was employed with the Ideal Shoe Company for a number of years. She also worked at the Christian Home for fifteen years, and enjoyed volunteering at the Waupun Senior Center. Hazel was a devoted wife, loving mother, and adoring grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a lifetime member of Pella Lutheran Church and a longtime member of the Ladies Aid Society. Her testimony of faith will be a legacy and comfort to her family.
Hazel is survived by her three sons; Frederick (Kathy) Redman, Oshkosh, Russell (Robin) Redman, Minneapolis, MN, and David (Brenda) Redman, Waupun, five grandchildren; Aaron Redman, Neal (Jessica) Gilbert Redman, and Christopher (Raquel) Redman, all of Minneapolis, MN, Charles (Liz) Redman, and Elizabeth Redman, all of Oshkosh, three great-grandchildren; Hailey, Johnathan, and Micah, her special nephew, Ron Long of Sheboygan; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, her sister, Elva Long, and two brothers; Elmer and Arthur Lenz.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, August 2, 2010 at Pella Lutheran Church, 315 South Madison Street, Waupun, with the Rev. John Brogaard officiating. Inurnment will be in Forest Mound Cemetery.
Hazel’s family will receive relatives and friends at the church on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of service.
A Memorial fund has been established for Pella Lutheran Ladies Aid Society.
