Grace Josephine Foss, age 84 of Randolph, died on Wednesday, May 12, 2010 at Golden Years Living – Continental Manor in Randolph.
Grace was born on March 2, 1926 in the town of Westford, Dodge County, the daughter of Frederick and Lula (Lentz) Yaroch. Grace was employed with Rockwell for thirty-six years and following her retirement was a crossing guard for the Randolph School District. She also worked seasonally at Deans Vegetable Food Canning Company in Cambria, and Jungs Seed Company of Randolph. She was married to Dale Foss on June 29, 1963 at Friedens Evangelical Lutheran Church, and they had thirty years together until the Lord called Dale to his heavenly home on August 19, 1993.
Grace is survived by her son, Edwin (Diane) Krueger of Randolph; her grandson, Rick Lappen; two great-grandsons, Anthony and Mitch Lappen; three step grandchildren, and five step great-grandchildren; two sisters, Jean (Tony) Den Dekker, Dixon, MO, and Frances (Nels) Benson, Green Bay; two sisters-in-law, Mary Yaroch, Omro, and Darlene Yaroch, Colorodo; a brother-in-law, Don Krumenacher, Waukesha; many dear nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her daughter, Margaret Lappen; four sisters, Eileen Braker, Nettie Biel, Dorothy Krumenacher, and Ethel Hatzinger; four brothers, Walter Yaroch, Frederick Yaroch, Jr., Eugene Yaroch, and Clarence Yaroch;
A Celebration of Grace’s Life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, May 17, 2010 at Frieden’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 335 Jones Drive, Randolph, with Rev. Walter Goers officiating. Burial will follow at Randolph Cemetery.
Grace’s family will receive relatives and friends on Sunday, May 16, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the Randolph Community Funeral Home, 208 S. High Street, Randolph, and on Monday at the church from noon until the hour of service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Food Pantry.
