Eugene Joseph Young

Eugene Joseph Young, age 73 of Waupun, died on Wednesday, June 17, 2009 at his home with his family surrounding him.

Eugene was born on February 5, 1936 in Wauwatosa, WI, a son of Henry and Margaret (Roscoe) Young. He enlisted in the United States Army, serving from 1958 to 1962. On January 27, 1962 he was united in marriage to Marilyn Falske in West Allis. Eugene was employed as a supervisor at Weyenberg Shoe Company in Beaver Dam for over forty-five years. He was a wonderful father, husband and provider. Eugene will be remembered as a hard worker. He was a lifetime member and past commander of VFW Post 1163 of Beaver Dam.

Eugene is survived by Marilyn, his wife of forty-seven years; his son John Young of Waupun; two grandchildren, Tony Allen Young and Rebecca Joan Young. Also surviving is a sister-in-law Mary Young of Milwaukee; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Joan Margaret Young; and two brothers, Harold and Ronald.

A Service to Celebrate Eugene’s Life will be held 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 21, 2009 at Kohls Community Funeral Home, 405 West Main Street, Waupun, with the Rev. Franklin P. Moore officiating.

The family will receive relatives and friends on Sunday at the funeral home from 2:00 p.m. until the hour of service.
