Audrey Carol Jung, age 84 of Randolph, passed away on Tuesday, November 24, 2009 at the Golden Living Center – Continental Manor in Randolph after a long illness.

Audrey was born on December 22, 1924 in Randolph, the daughter of Leon and Frieda (Schultz) Jenkins. She graduated from Randolph High School. On September 16, 1944 she married Howard A. Jung and they farmed in the Town of Courtland until their retirement. Audrey was a longtime member of Friedens Evangelical Lutheran Church of Randolph. She loved reading and writing poetry. Audrey was very artistic and especially enjoyed oil painting. Her family was priority and she cared deeply for her children and grandchildren.

Audrey is survived by her five children, Mary (George) Martin, Summerset, MI; Brian (Diane) Jung; Michael (Patricia) Jung, all of Randolph; Paul Jung and Donna, Mayville; and Ellen Jung and Peter, Randolph. She is further survived by ten grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Viola Jenkins, Randolph; and Florence Gerndt, Waterford, MI; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband Howard in March of 1989; a grandson, Brandon Krause; two sisters, Merna Krueger and Norma Achterberg; and her brother Bruce.

A Service to Celebrate Audrey’s Life will be at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 28, 2009 at Friedens Evangelical Lutheran Church, 335 Jones Drive, Randolph officiated by Rev. Walter Goers. Burial will follow at Randolph Cemetery.

Audrey’s family will receive relatives and friends at the church on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of service.

A Memorial Fund is being established in Audrey’s name.
