Margaret Viola Zieman

Margaret Viola Zieman, age 102, died Monday, January 12, 2009, at her home in Golden Years of Randolph, with her daughter at her side. She was born on August 11, 1906 to William B. and Augusta (Marquardt) Meyers in the Town of Courtland. She married Harold M. Zieman on October 15, 1930, and they made their home in Cambria for many years. He preceded Margaret in death on January 2, 1971.

Margaret is survived by her only child Jean Zieman of Madison, three sisters-in-law, Pearl Meyers, Randolph; Margaret Schnur and Dorothy Waterworth, both of Waupun; one brother-in-law, Kenneth Zieman, Randolph; and cousins, nieces, nephews and many friends.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Earl, Henry, Arnold and William; six brothers-in-law; and four sisters-in-law.

A service celebrating Margaret’s life will be held in the spring and announced at that time.

Margaret’s family is indebted to the caring people at Golden Years, Hillside Hospice, Dr. Samadani and staff, and Pastor Kristin and the deacons of the First Presbyterian Church of Cambria. Margaret was truly blessed to have them in her life.
