Doris Mildred Rahn, age 89 of Waupun, died peacefully on Wednesday, December 10, 2008, at the Christian Home Health and Rehabilitation Center.

Doris was born on October 2, 1919 in the Town of Waupun, the daughter of Edward and Esther (Borchardt) Lange. She attended Weeping Willows Grade School and following her education was employed as a waitress for Bells Restaurant. She then worked as a sewer for Sand Knit in Waupun for seventeen years. She was united in marriage to Harvey Rahn on February 17, 1945 in Waupun. Doris was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who adored her family. She was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church of Waupun, where she enjoyed her involvement in the Women’s Ministries.

Doris is survived by her son Darrell and his wife Nancy Rahn of Brandon; two grandsons, Derryck Rahn of Brandon, and Nathaniel and his wife Melissa Rahn of Waupun; three great-granddaughters, Kaylee, MacKenzie, and Genevieve; her brother, Allan and his wife Patricia Lange of California; and her sister Phyllis Harder of South Dakota; other relatives and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband in 1992; her brother, Gerald Lange; and a brother-in-law, Lawrence Harder.

A Celebration Service of Doris’ Life will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 13, 2008 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 525 West Main Street, Waupun with the Chaplain Wick Hubers and Pastor Sam Jackson officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Memory Gardens.

Friends may call on Saturday at the church from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of services.

A Memorial Fund has been established in Doris’ name.
