Robert Lee Pfeiffer

Robert Lee Pfeiffer, age 70 of Waupun, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 24, 2008 at his home, surrounded by his family.

Robert was born on August 15, 1938 in Fond du Lac County, a son of Oscar and Hattie (Preissner) Pfeiffer. On April 11, 1959 he was united in marriage to Rosalie Roberts at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Eldorado. Robert was engaged in cash crop farming until 1980. He was also employed with National Rivet for thirty-eight years as a forklift driver, retiring in September of 2000. Robert is a member of I.A.M. Local #1516. He was a hardworking and loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Robert enjoyed garden tractor pulling, and collecting International Toy Tractors. A favorite pastime was watching NASCAR.

Robert is survived by Rosalie, his wife of forty-nine years; four children, Jeff (Nancy) Pfeiffer, Rosendale; Steve and his special friend Denise Behrns, Oshkosh; Gary (Dawn) Pfeiffer, Oshkosh; Angie (Tom) Hodge, Waupun; ten grandchildren, Nicole (Matt Smallish) Pfeiffer; Jeff (Amber) Pfeiffer; Bill (Jamie) Pfeiffer; Tory Pfeiffer; Stephanie (Ryan) Lueck; Jade Pfeiffer; Kayla Pfeiffer; and Samantha Pfeiffer; Alicia Hodge and Thomas Hodge IV; seven great-grandchildren, Taylor; Austin; Raeann; Mason; Jeffery; Wyatt; and Megan. He is further survived by five sisters, Joan Rupple; Ruth Jahns; Janice (Auggie) Toll; Mary (Marlo) Roberts; and Barb (George) Matheis; a sister-in-law LeMay Pfeiffer; and many other sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law; nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; an infant daughter Laurie; two brothers, Ralph and Don; and a sister, Lucille Blank.

Funeral services will be 11:30 a.m. on Friday, November 28, 2008 at St. Stephen’s Lutheran Church in Rogersville with the Rev. Kimberly Stowell officiating. Burial will follow in the Rogersville Cemetery.

The family will receive visitors on Friday at the church beginning at 9:00 a.m. until the hour of services.

A Memorial Fund is being established in Robert’s name.
