Aaron Robert Deboer

Aaron Robert DeBoer, age 23, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, November 19, 2008 at his residence in Waupun.

Aaron was born in Beaver Dam on June 19, 1985, the son of Brad and Sally (Steinfeldt) DeBoer. He attended area schools, graduating from Waupun High School with the Class of 2003. Aaron grew up playing for the Waupun Hockey Association and was a dedicated member of the High School team, where he lettered and received numerous awards. During his senior year he earned the coaches award, and the Grant Father-Son award. Following his graduation, Aaron attended the UW Fond du Lac for a year. He was employed with Karavan Trailers, Williams Construction, and most recently with Derco Manufacturing. As a young boy he enjoyed many fishing adventures with his dad, but as he grew older his interests turned to music. Besides listening to music, Aaron was a member of a band where he used his talents playing the drums. He loved hanging out with his many friends, and was fun to be around.

Aaron is survived by his parents Brad and Sally DeBoer of Fox Lake; his sister Dana and her husband Jeff Walstra, Wheatfield, Indiana; maternal grandfather, Robert Steinfeldt of Fox Lake; paternal grandparents, Robert and Shirley DeBoer of Brandon; his niece, Emma Rose and his nephew, Wyatt Robert Walstra; his special friend, Samantha Dornfeld, Markesan; aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Jacqueline Steinfeldt.

A Celebration Service of Aaron’s Life will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, November 24, 2008 at Alto Reformed Church, N3697 County Road EE, Waupun; officiated by the Rev. Dr. Gregg Pusateri and Rev. Ted Medema. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery in Fox Lake.

The family will receive relatives and friends on Sunday, November 23, 2008, at Kohls Community Funeral Home, 405 West Main Street, Waupun, from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m., and on Monday at the church from 9:30 a.m. until the hour of service.

A Memorial Fund has been established in Aaron’s name for Suicide Prevention of Dodge County.
