Sadie L. Graunke

Sadie L. Graunke, age 96 entered into eternal life on Friday, March 7, 2008 at the Christian Home of Waupun.

Sadie was born March 20, 1911 in Waupun, the daughter of Arthur and Della (Hendricks) Kliefoth. She was united in marriage on June 9, 1929 to Glenn Graunke in Plymouth, WI. Sadie was a former member of the Union Congregational Church in Waupun. She was a loving and caring mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who had to work very hard to support her family after the death of her husband in 1965. Sadie was employed with Bear Brand Hosiery, Ideal Shoe Company, National Rivet, Dodge Correctional Institute and retired from the Christian Home after several years of rendering care and love to the residents of the home.

Sadie is survived by her son; Gerald and Vivian Graunke, Waupun, three grandchildren; Greg and Gail Graunke, Oshkosh, Jeff Graunke and special friend Stacy Nitschke, Karen and Cliff Teletzke, all of Waupun, and two great-grandsons; Joshua and Jacob Teletzke.

Sadie, was preceded in death by her husband, parents and four sisters, Hazel, Stella, Lillian and Helen.

A private family service will be held. Chaplain Wick Hubers will officiate. Interment will be in Forest Mound Cemetery, Waupun.

A memorial fund is being established for the Christian Home.
