Lois LaVonne Cothran, age 102 of Beaver Dam, passed away on Saturday, March 15, 2008 at the Continental Manor in Randolph where she has resided for the past several months.

Lois was born in Chicago, Illinois on August 6, 1905, a daughter to Ernest and Jennie ( Billings) Blew. She married Arthur H. Cothran in 1926, and they made their home in New York where Lois and her sons managed their fruit farm while Arthur served his country with a military career. Lois moved to the Beaver Dam area eighteen years ago to be near her family. She was a member of the Jehovah’s Witnesses Kingdom Hall of Beaver Dam.

Lois is survived by her son Arthur H. Cothran, Jr. and his wife Susan of Beaver Dam; twenty-eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband; her son Gerald; and a son in infancy.

A memorial service will be held at a later date in Youngstown, New York where inurnment will take place.

Memorials may be sent in Lois’s name to the American Cancer Society.
