Mary Eleanore Jaycox

Mary Eleanore Jaycox, age 95 died peacefully on Saturday, June 14, 2008 at the Golden Living Center-Continental Manor of Randolph.
Mary was born November 29, 1912 a daughter of Edwin and Mae (Jung) Madigan in the town of Trenton. She was a Beaver Dam High School graduate, and received her Bachelors of Science Degree in education from the University of Wisconsin, Madison. Mary was united in marriage to Russell J. Jaycox on June 4, 1938 in Trenton Township, Dodge County, Wisconsin. She taught at Beaver Dam High School for about a year, then for 2 years at Elkhorn High School and then at Pewaukee High School for 31 years as a home economics teacher until she retired. Mary was a member of the Bethany Presbyterian Church of Randolph, and a member of the Homemaker's and Garden Club of Randolph.
She is survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Mary was preceded in death, by her husband in 1988, two brothers, Edward Madigan and Russell and his wife (Orabell) Madigan, a sister and her husband, Mildred (Paul) Johnson, and her parents.
The funeral service for Mary will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 17, 2008 from Bethany Presbyterian Church, 275 N. High Street, Randolph, with Pastor Linda Heisler, officiating. Interment will follow in the Randolph Cemetery. Mary's Family will receive relatives and friends at the church on Tuesday from 1 p.m. until the hour of service.
A memorial fund is being established in Mary's name.
